The single biggest determining factor on who wins a life threatening encounter is most often the determination to never give up.

Hello Mr. Neff, I have enjoyed reading your suggestions about fighting room to room. But I wonder shouldn't the first concern be how to reduce the chances that an unwanted person be in your house in advance. If you door has a visible sign such as "Lifetime NRA member" or "Protected by Smith and Wesson" isn't this almost an invitation: Hi, come and visit when I am not home, I have several firearms you would enjoy, and several cases of ammunition."Besides cactus and other spiny/sharp plant outside windows what keeps such people out; an alarm system? In your May 22 post you mention an aerosol hair spray is that with or without a match, cause i don't think you meant that the intruder should style her/his hair nor have a shot of vodka (i.e alcohol). You didn't mention the tube and tile cleaner- but I guess that if it were the bleach type would work too. Particularly if the bathroom with its ceramic toilet and shower was the safe room

Respectfully, Dave
