Basic Instructor Course Price $100.00 6 hours
Basic Instructor Course Price $25.00 6 hours When adding a discipline
If it’s been more than a year since an instructor completed Basic Instructor Training, the instructor candidate must pass the current Trainers Examination with a 90% or higher when adding instructor ratings.
Home Firearm Safety Price $100.00 4 hours This class covers the proper care, cleaning and storage of firearms in the home.
Students should bring a firearm and cleaning kit if they have one. No ammunition should be brought to class.
RANGE SAFETY OFFICER Price $100.00 9 hours
Certifies individuals as NRA Range Safety Officers.
CHIEF RANGE SAFETY OFFICER Price $350.00 9 hours
Certifies individuals as NRA Chief Range Safety Officers.
Rifle Price $150.00 14 hours
Classes cover the basic identification, safety, and handling of various rifles. This is a great class for all age groups and levels of experience. The class includes live firing and classroom instruction.
Pistol Price $200.00 10 hours
Classes cover the basic identification, safety, and handling of various pistols and revolvers. The class includes live firing and classroom instruction. This is a great class for all age groups and levels of experience.
Shotgun Price $150.00 10 hours
Classes cover the basic identification, safety, and handling of various shotguns. The class includes live firing at moving targets and classroom instruction. This is a great class for beginning shotgun shooters.
Personal Protection in the Home Price $200.00 8 hours
This class is an advanced class to the Basic Pistol class. This class is recommended for all homeowners who own and maintain a firearm for home defense and all residents in the home who have access to home defense firearms and may have the ability to use such in a defensive situation.
The NRA Basic Pistol class or other classes or experience are required as a prerequisite.
Personal Protection Outside the Home Price $ 225.00 16+ hours Click here for a PPOTH shoot schedule
This class is an advanced class to the Basic Pistol class and is a first for the NRA. This class is an instructional class to teach lawfully armed civilians to carry a firearm for personal defense and defense of others. How to access and carry a firearm, justification and use for deadly force, legal aspects of deadly force, defensive shooting techniques. This is a must for any civilian carrying a firearm open or concealed.
CCW training is a licensing class. This is a class to teach students how to carry a firearm.
The NRA Basic Personal Protection Outside the Home is required as a prerequisite.
Personal Protection Outside the Home instructor candidates must be Personal Protection Inside The Home instructors.
Instructor candidates will need to bring a minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition, a strong side hip holster, a pull over shirt or sweater that covers the firearm, a button front shirt or sweater that covers the firearm, long pants, and shoes you can move briskly in. Two magazines or speed loaders are needed. Four would be better. Pouches for speed loaders and magazine pouches are recommended. A second smaller firearm (back up) could also be used in class for those who possess one. Ankle holsters and gun purses, or fanny packs can be used as well. Students must be in fair health.
Training guns can be brought and will be very instructional in the classroom.
SHOLDER HOLSTERS CAN NOT BE DRAWN FROM IN CLASS WITH LIVE AMMO. THEY CAN BE BROUGHT FOR INSTRUCTIONAL PURPOSES.
Due to the time and expense of program materials, a deposit is required for Instructor courses. Deposits are nonrefundable. If you can not make a class we will schedule you into the next class available.
Instructor classes also require a minimum number of participants. If a class is canceled due to lack of participation, your deposit will be refunded. Minimum participation is determined by the number of deposits received 15 days prior to class.
